AnkleBreaker Playtest Program
One account.
Every game.
Play AnkleBreaker games before launch. One profile, every playtest — with free access, a private Discord, and a real say in what ships.
01Why join
Be the first to play — and help build the games.
- 01
Play before launch
Get into builds weeks — sometimes months — before they go public.
- 02
Free access, on us
A Steam key or a Steam Playtest grant. No purchase, no catch.
- 03
One profile, every game
Fill it once — Steam, Discord, hardware. It carries across every playtest.
- 04
A private Discord
A direct line to the dev team and the rest of the test cohort.
- 05
Shape what ships
Your feedback steers the build. Devs read every word.
- 06
A spot in the credits
Meaningful contributors get named in the game's credits.
02Two ways in
Open doors & inner circle.
The best feedback we ever got came from players who’d already lost a thousand matches. So we built two ways in — an open Playtest for everyone who wants to kick the tires, and a private Insider Program for the dedicated few who shape mechanics months before launch.
Playtest
Anyone in the community.
Scheduled stress-test windows on upcoming builds. You play, you fill a short survey, you go back to your life.
- Early hands-on with new patches
- Direct survey channel to the dev team
- In-game “Playtester” badge
Insider Program
Veterans. Top of the ladder. People we already trust.
A privilege, not a perk. You earn the invite by showing up, and you keep it the same way. Insiders see mechanics months before launch and tell us what is broken before anyone else can.
- Permanent access to pre-alpha builds
- Private Discord with the dev team
- Direct feedback loop with leads
- Duties: written reports, NDA, weekly play time
Invitation only — earn it in the open playtests first.

About the program
AnkleBreaker playtests run on a simple deal — you fill out one profile, sign one NDA, and carry your account across every game we ship. When you’re accepted, you get a Steam key or Steam Playtest access plus an invite to the game’s private playtest Discord. Every plan has a brief, a deadline, and a limited number of slots.
Built by AnkleBreaker Studio. Invite-only, and open to apply for anyone with a Steam account, a Discord account, and a genuine interest in testing games before they ship.
