Cookie Policy
The cookies and trackers used by the playtest platform, their purpose, and how to manage them.

1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. It can, for example, keep you signed in, remember a step in progress, or secure an action.
2. Cookies we use
The platform uses only cookies strictly necessary for it to function and to stay secure. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track your browsing across other sites.
Separately from cookies, the emails we send you contain a delivery marker and links that record whether the message was opened or clicked. That measurement is described in the Privacy Policy; it tells us whether our transactional email is reaching you, and you can stop it by disabling remote images in your email client.
- Session cookie (“pt_session”): keeps you signed in to your playtest space. Strictly necessary; short-lived (session).
- Sign-up cookie (“signup_state”): remembers your current step in the sign-up wizard. Strictly necessary; short duration.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: a security/anti-bot cookie or token that protects the forms (sign-in, sign-up). Strictly necessary for security.
3. Legal basis and consent
Cookies strictly necessary for the service you request are exempt from prior consent. Should we later set non-essential cookies (audience measurement, advertising), we would obtain your consent first and update this policy.
4. Managing cookies
You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may, however, prevent you from signing in to or joining the program.
